🇬🇧 Summary in English
Google is rolling out a highly anticipated set of operating system upgrades, dubbed the ‘Android Drop,’ and these updates are not limited to Pixel phones—get ready, everyone! The focus this September is on integrating Gemini, the AI assistant, into everyday life in ways that feel straight out of a sci-fi movie. Gemini’s upgraded capabilities include not only remembering details but also physical locations. Users can simply prompt the assistant to ‘remember’ where they left an item, like a passport, and if the device runs Android 16 or higher, Gemini can pinpoint the location. But the magic doesn’t stop at finding lost keys. Traveling just got easier with ‘Motion Assist,’ slated for Android 17. This feature tackles motion sickness by projecting small colored dots on the screen that follow the movement, acting as a helpful digital stabilizer during bumpy rides. Accessibility is another major highlight. Gemini Live offers robust voice guidance, allowing users to ‘see’ the world through the camera. It can read menus, signs, and labels, making navigation and reading significantly easier for visually impaired users. Meanwhile, the Google Messages app has undergone a major glow-up. It now integrates with Google Keep, letting groups create and co-edit notes or checklists directly within the chat—say goodbye to sticky notes! Plus, users can personalize the chat experience by choosing themes and background images. Overall, Google is making Android smarter, more intuitive, and surprisingly helpful for everyone, everywhere.
